Monument provided DBA and Functional Support to upgrade this client to Oracle R12

Among some of the challenges on this project were the integration with 170Systems, 25 customizations and a new hardware platform.  There were various Oracle Forms and Reports which had to be upgraded using the new version of Oracle iDeveloper for 10g.  We provided training classes on new features and functions within the product suite.

HARDWARE MANUFACTURER

For a hardware manufacturer, we upgraded their system from 11.5.10.2 to R12.1.3

This project’s biggest challenge was to upgrade hundreds of custom Discoverer Reports in a timely and economical manner. There were many difficulties as many reports used views or tables that were retired in 11i.  Monument researched each error and grouped them by types and then recreated some of the tables through views. This was both cost effective and timely.

LEASING COMPANY

For a leasing company, Monument upgraded their system from 11.5.5 to Release 12

This project required two upgrades for the application and the new 9i to 11g direct upgrade for the database. The main difficulty was the number of customizations and that the 4 sets of books moved to 4 ledgers. We built training manuals for all new features. All test plans were updated by the users under Monument’s guidance.

HIGH TECH MANUFACTURER

For a High Tech Manufacturer, we upgraded their system from 11.5.10.1 to Release 12

For this client, we provided guidance on the first iteration of the upgrade and then turned over the process to the client for the next 2 iterations. This saved the client costs by internally performing most of the upgrade and testing for the second and third test. Monument showed them all the necessary changes and the client both documented and updated the test plans for new functionality. Monument also built BI Publisher formats for checks which replace third party software being used. This reduced their annual software maintenance costs.
